Igneous Rocks
Igneous rocks (from the Greek word for fire) form when hot magma cools and becomes solid.
The melted rocks are called magma. Magma is inside the volcano and lava is on the outside of the volcano.
There are many types of Igneous rocks like, granite, basalt and and site porphyry.
Igneous rocks are divided into two groups, intrusive or extrusive, depending on where the lava or magma cools.
